Advocates for International Development
A4ID’s site is now bursting with easily accessible resources and information for partners and members. Notable outcomes include:
- More users visiting the site
- Users spending more time on the site
- Time saved because A4ID can easily add new content through the new content management system
“we were very happy ...they communicated well ... the result represented great value for money” - Karim Manji, Communications Manager, A4ID
The homepage
The homepage is a crucial tool for directing users to relevant content and engaging with different types of users. A key focus of the A4ID site was intuitive navigation. The site contains a large and growing amount of content and different users had to be able to find what they were looking for quickly and easily.
Easy to update
A key requirement was that A4ID could take control of their site and easily add and remove information. Everything to do with the site is managed through the content management system, meaning everything can be modified and kept up-to-date, including signposts and images.
Social media integration
There are a huge number of tools available for charities to build their profile and A4ID make strong use of many of them. The site design features social media links including YouTube, Facebook and Twitter in the footer and the site contains embedded YouTube videos to communicate the mission of A4ID in a more dynamic manner.
The events section (which automatically archives past events) directs users to Eventbrite, which provides a simple and cost-effective way to manage event attendance.
Overall benefits
A4ID continue to grow and develop their role as a leading organisation engaging in the field of law and international development. They now have the necessary internet presence to accompany their mission.
